    I have some paperwork belonging to a WW2 Capt H. Annesley Johnson it looks like, his Captain tabs are yellow so imagine he was a Hussars officer.

    Any assistance I would be very grateful.

    I can find no Annesley Johnson in the Awards in the National Archives.

    Can't find any in the London Gazette either.
    Are you sure of the spelling? Have you got his Service Number? I suggest you post a few scans of the relevant documents.

    I read it as Hammersley-Johnson (when I managed to turn it right side up).
