The Joint Casualty & Compassionate Centre is organising a funeral with military honours for Sgt Wilfred Lawson, Royal Air Force. Sgt Lawson was a crew member of Lancaster LL721 which crashed in 1944 near Karcha (Saxony). I would like to inform members of a Ceremony taking place on Thursday 16th March 2017 at 10am. The memorial service takes place at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemetery, Heerstraße 139, 14055 Berlin. It will be carried out by a military padre of the Royal Air Force and members of the Queen's Colour Squadron. Anyone who is interested are welcome to attend if they find themselves in Berlin at this time. The RBL Berlin Branch will be represented with Standard and we will be laying a Wreath. Regards Tom
