Hi, Just looking at a RCAF casualty file and for the first time I noticed mention of “Points” in the usual “loss report” from the unit commander. I’m familiar with the number of flying hours being recorded in the report but have never seen mention of “points”. I assume there was a “late war” formula adopted to convert flying hours to “points” - presumably as a more equitable way of assessing the end of a tour of duty for men flying different durations of operational sorties?
