I continue to look into my Dad's war service and will soon be ready to request war diaries.

He was with the 36 GT Coy for part of his service. I have identified war diaries for RASC 36 Coy; 170/2399, 171/2361,171/6166, 171/9755 and 171/10130. Can anyone advise if this relates to the 36 GT Coy.

During this time his service record shows he transferred to 36GT Coy on 29/2/44 from 404 GT Coy whilst in North Africa, he embarked for UK 4 March and disembarked 18 March. Was at home until embarking from UK on 13 June 44 (location on service recorded is FD) and returned home on 13.5.46 with final release on 10.9.46

A second question if I may, the war diary summary mentions "Kinema", what type of service was this?

    Many thanks Brian

Brian, Not sure you have the correct diaries there.

    Could these be the ones?

The Army Kinema Corporation used to provide films and film shows for the troops.
