A little bit off thread, I had a friend who said he was a Royal Naval Commando. Not a Marine or Army ,and that he landed at Anzio. never followed this up were there RN Commandos?
Hello my grand father, James Aitken has his Normandy reunion medal in his bedroom, which was given to him by his wife. He remembered working on a supermarine walrus with Jack Sibbit.
