Does anyone know of any published sources of RAF SE Asia Loss Statistics?

"There is comprehensive loss info in Captain Norman Macmillan's The Royal Air Force in the World War Vol III (1949) in the Appendix I(MTO losses) and others in Vol IV (1950) in the Appendix III (others but FE only from Aug 43 onwards) In the end of it Total A/c losses on Operational sorties (less Malaya) 27,478. Included is SE Asia per year Aug 43 - 45.

I was just reading up on Wellington Z8947, the last bomber lost by 99 Sqdn prior to leaving Bomber Command and transferring to India.

This got me to thinking that they must have thought their chances of surviving the war just increased dramatically, not to mention the appeal of an exotic posting.

    Secondly:
30 Ops and you could post out did not apply to the SE Asia campaign. Correct?

    Thirdly:
Would they have known this, prior to transferring? Would they have been given an option re taking the posting, based on this?
