Have a mystery on my hands. I have inherited my cousins medals but there is one missing, when I cross referenced them to his Ribbon bar - its a Military Medal. This was typical of Joe, he was proud to have been there and loved the people but did not like a fuss.He was in the RAF so how did he gain the MM, I know he was lost behind the lines for over a month and his job was recovering crashed aircraft. i tried the London gazzette but nothing came up. he must have won it during his time when he was lost. But many RAF bods won the MM, even a WAAF! same rules for the RAF as for the army
