OK, I can get nearly all the Cheshire ones, and already have the RAAF fella at Byley listed. I have a suspicion he was in the aircrash of instructors on way back. If so I'll send the other shots of those who died with him. I'll also take the staffs ones if within say 50miles and the derbyshire too. I got volunteered today after mentioning it to my boss. Will get the Byley shot to you tomorrow night when using the main PC. EDIT: not got a full headstone shot, thought i had. must have got lost in the last crash Will get it easily. Hold off on the Derbyshire ones as Gen may have them on CD. Those with a question mark have been offered by that person however not yet completed. I am trying hard to ensure that graves are not needlessly photographed twice. There are two RAAF at Byley, (Forbes & Watson) both were killed on 20/3/1943. I got volunteered today after mentioning it to my boss. What is behind that? Cheers Geoff
I HAVE DELETED PREVIOUS LISTINGS AS THEY ARE QUITE LARGE GO TO POST #79 TO SEE THE LATEST TO DO LIST.
some reason i can't view page 3 on its own, having to scroll down from the post box to see them. I mentioned your search to my mother, who promptly volunteered us. Saw Gen is doing derbyshire, thats fine by me. Sounds as if the two at Byley were delivery pilots. A goup of about 10 were being flown back to RAF Cranage/Byley after delivering bombers, and the transport plane crashed on landing, killing all those on board. All buried side by side. Until the 1960's there was also a crashed German bomber crew beside them, buried with full RAF ceremony. As to others killed, i may have the stories of their crashes for any that may have died wiithin a 10mile radius of Leek in Staffordshire, but buried at Blacon. Do you want them?

That would be great as long as it is not too much trouble.
No problem with the details, i typed out a full copy of the book a few years ago. I'll just do a search, then copy and paste. What is a Flying Battle? I have several ideas but its an odd one. Kyt?

Taken alot ofpics at Blacon cemetery at Chestre of Oz lads. Finally got my email to talk to his where atatchments are concerned so sending them through. However thought you might like to see the cemetery itself. View attachment 10043 Getting towards the end of the visit, every time I went to photograph an RAAF grave, one of these would land. I also have some shots of the Polish/commonwealth grave area as well
crap. i never saw the request for the Canadians. Mind you not sure my knees could have taken the kneeling needed to take photos of another 120+ graves. Sorry gen, i would have done if I had seen the request. Bugger.
