    Dear all,

One of the first helmets that I ever bought is British and also has a name on it. Does anyone have more info on mister R.H. John?
I believe the service number is 1st Royal Tank Regiment?

Thank you once again very much in advance,

    Jan,

I looked up the service number on FindMyPast, and found a record in the Royal Tank Corps Enlistment Records, 1919-1934 record set. The number is associated with:

The record also shows he was previously a member of the 3rd Hussars, and left the Army in 1921 following re-enlisting on 1 March 1919.

Would it be possible for you to post an image of the name, and number, in the helmet?

    Mark

Hello, the number is hard to read but the owner was definitely R.H John. The number is between 6-7 long.
