Cant find the text now, dam!
but remember that the bodies of 2 men of the Royal Fusiliers 16th Bn were recovered drowned from Lough Neagh in middle to late1940. Tried Geoffs but no good.
    Any ideas who they were!
    Cheers

If they drowned then its possible the body of Norris was not recovered.

Quite likely just recreational swimming - Lough Erne claimed a few airmen in the same way .

The War Diaries give no indication as to the deaths, just that the two bodies were recovered from the lough.
The CO of the Bn asked for instructions from command 47th Div of how to DISPOSE of the bodies.
No mention of an inquiry either, would the Lough be a bad place for recreational swimming?
