    Hello,

I have just located your site and would appreciate some help in understanding my late father's army records.

He joined R.A.S.C. in 1936 and was posted to various units including No. 4 Naval Fighter Wing throughout his service until his return to England in 1948.

I wonder why he moved between units and what was the relevance of the Naval Fighter Wing.

His postings included Palestine, Egypt, Syria, Sudan and Western Desert.

Any information would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks.

perhaps you can scan his records that we may see where - when an what he was doing at all times - we shall be able to glean more information from them - hopefully

    Cheers

    Hello Tom,

    Many thanks for your reply.

I obviously have copies of his records but will have to wait until husband and/or son can instruct me on how to scan and forward them.

I think the expression is 'watch this space'.

    Thanks again
