In WW2 the acronym FCS as far as I can tell means Flying Control System, but can anyone explain what 12 FCS is?
possibly Fighter Command School/Fighter Control School http://ww2f.com/threads/abbreviations-and-acronyms-of-ww2-and-service-records.37304/ assume no 12 FCS List of Royal Air Force schools - Wikipedia do you have more detail
I thought of Forward Control School or Fighter Conversion Squadron but both are mere guesses, I'm afraid.
Yes, it was 12 F.C.S. 24/09/44-01/12/44 and before that 2 States admin (u) 22/09/44 (the 'U' comes in the column checkd. and admin in the column reason. Also do you or anyone else knows what the number 63 means in the column 'reason'. Thanks for your reply
