Just finished adding the Régiment de la Chaudière to the "Battle of Normandy, 1944" animation. As part of the 8th Infantry Brigade it took part in the 6 June landings on Juno Beach and was one of the first units to move inland. Further notable actions include the attack on Carpiquet and its aerodrome, the attack on the Longueval Chateau during Operation Goodwood, and the pursuit after the Falaise Pocket was closed. My favorite war diary entry is loosely translated from August 26:

Search for the Régiment de la Chaudière under the "Unit" heading to follow their course through the Battle of Normandy.

Another amusing anecdote concerns the Regiments name. Apparently the local Normans were puzzled why any one should name a unit after a hot water bath. "Les Chauds" had to explain that Chaudiere was the name of a river which flowed into the St Lawrence on the opposite bank to Quebec City
