    My uncle died 14.8.44 with this battalion his name ...ash taylor Hanbury age 20 ..as im new member is ther any wher to look for more info as thats all know and wher he is buried ...thanks

    He must have been killed in the battle for Le Logis farm around Martainville, confirmed by ROH in Brett's history (Part III).

    His name isn't logged on my search (meaning I probably don't have a first hand account of his Pl/Coy lurking anywhere.

    Proper dust up against a mixed rearguard well supported by armour.

    Swiper do you have anything on 3913670 L/Cpl Gwyn George Davies MM SWBs attached 2 Monmouthshire Regiment? I have the recommendation for his MM (happy to share if it is of interest) and I am really after a photo of him!
