Eileen Houlton died age 22 on 20th February 1944 and is buried in Camberwell New Cemetery, London.

The family headstone records her serving with 564 Bty, HAA. (CWGC record her as attd 564 Bty. 183 (M) A.A. Regt. Royal Artillery), the headstone also records ‘Killed on active service’ suggesting an attack on the location.

Would be grateful for any information regarding (1) The location of 183 A.A. Regt. R.A. and (2) The cause of her death if known.

Bringing this back up just in case it was missed before.

I did not see this before Tony and will do a lookup for you when I go to Kew in the not too distant future.

    Hi Tony,

Checked in the war diary of 183 (M) AA Regt and there was no mention about the death of Eileen Houlton. Sorry, but did not take a copy of the pages from the time of the death, so am unable to advise where they were located. I'll look again when I go again in early December.
