Today we acknowledge the sacrifice made by all of our servicemen in all wars.
I especially want to acknowledge the sacrifice made by my step-Grandfather, Private Peter McIntosh 15822 11Btn Royal Scots who died this day, 25/4/1916 in France and Flanders. He entered there on 08/06/1915.
From the Battalion War Diary - “At Ploegsteert – 25th Bombing Class and training of fighting sections began – working parties to the extent of 390 provided – 4 men wounded 1 killed whilst on working party.”
This was him. Buried at Rifle House Cemetery near Ploegsteert Plot I Row D 8.
    He is not forgotten.

Peter died 100 years ago on this day, but his memory lives on.
May he continue to rest in peace.
