Private John Doolan Gordon Highlanders regiment

  1. Hello, my Uncle John Doolan (born in Shotts, Scotland in 1919), served in the Gordon Highlanders regiment and was a Prisoner of War during World War 2, he was detained at several POW camps including Stalag 1XC. I am open to conversation with anyone that may be connected to the regiment or may have had relatives that served at the same time. I'm especially interested in stories and any photos if possible. I have attached a photo of my uncle in his army uniform. This was taken in 1938 (aged 19 years old) at the Aberdeen Gordon Highlanders Barracks. There is a lot of interest in his memoirs, within my family and I'm researching.
