Best thing to do is have a high profile photo shoot of him of on holiday somewhere.
Then quietly sneak him off to Iraq with his troop out in the desert, as I gather they aren't going to operate in urban areas anyway, who is going to know he's there.

Good Idea Owen.

he is an army officer getting paid the queens shilling, why should he not serve with troops?

Exactly my thoughts Morse!

{Royal layabouts finally doing some real work!}:lol:

but this certainly changes my opinion somewhat. Here we have a prince serving on the front lines,

Remember his uncle the Duke of York, who also served.

At first the British government were apprehensive of allowing Prince Andrew to remain on Invincible, and wished to move him to a desk job. The prospect of the son of the Queen being killed in action was a possibility, and the government wished to avoid such a circumstance. However, the Queen insisted that Prince Andrew be allowed to remain with his ship, and so he joined the Invincible as it sailed south, as a Sea King helicopter co-pilot.
Throughout the conflict Prince Andrew flew on various missions, including Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Anti-Surface Warfare (ASuW), exocet missile decoy, as well as other missions. He also helped in casualty evacuation, transport and was involved in some highly dangerous Search and Air Rescue (SAR) missions.

It's a shame the cat was let out of the bag. Well done to Harry (welcome home) and all our serving forces in harms way.

Very well done to HRH. It's better that he got to go on most of his tour - or on tour at all for that matter - than not go.

It says volumes of his dedication to his country that he is prepared to give up the lavish lifestyle of a Prince to be a simple soldier. Not only that but he actively fights for the chance!

A truly extraordinary man.

YOU Sir, are the reason that this country still exists.
