Seems the Prince has indeed been to war: BBC NEWS | World | Prince Harry in Taleban fighting Good on you Lt. Wales. Shame that the subterfuge has been blown, but amazing that it lasted so long.
Very much a shame. Tough enough on him being anonymous over there, now it adds much that he and the men of his unit will have to work with. I like Drudge, but shame on him for this. Is Harry well liked in the UK?
I have complete respect for Harry wanting to serve. Well done sir. The press who leaked the story are very irresponsible and no doubt he'll have to be pulled out now.
I have to say that Prince Harry has gone up several notches in my opinion, the Press has sunk even lower - if that's possible.
To be fair though, I've got to actually hand it to our own 'reptiles' that they've shown remarkable restraint and common sense in sticking to the 'interview bargain' that held for a while. Radio 4 said a German columnist broke the news and this Grudge is the one that spread it most efficiently. I can see why this quote from him seems to be flying round the world: "It's very nice to be a sort of a normal person for once. This is about as normal as I'm ever going to get." I hope that'll be enough to dispel the feeding frenzy that accompanied his 'fancy dress'.

2 Royals in recent conflicts (Prince Andrew in Falklands) How many relations has Gordon Brown had so far...... Much as I dislike what Gordie has done in his 10 years in govt, I don't think he comes from a military family (his dad was a church minister I believe...), so the comparison is pretty meaningless - he wasn't likely to have serving rellies. I've had no close relatives serving in recent conflicts either.

I just find him exceptionally irritating (to put it in the most diluted terms possible) Well done your HRH Sir!
I've never been a big supporter of Royalty in general (damn we Canucks!), but this certainly changes my opinion somewhat. Here we have a prince serving on the front lines, which is a hell of a lot closer than the children of most politicians would even dream of doing. Good for him.
If you're going to be the titular 'Commander in Chief' of the Armed forces when taking the throne it's apparently seen as generally good form to have served with them .
