Hello my name is bob and I wonder if anybody could put me on the right track on how to trace ex POW's .
I have lived next to my nieghbour Derek for years he is a quiet 84 year old who enjoys a game of golf but a chance remark last week has lead my to begin a search for him to see if we can trace his old air crew and any POW's who were at Lamsdorf with him in Stalag V11-b /344. 1942 /1945

DerekThornhill who was pilot and his crew were members of the 53 sqadron and were shot down over the north sea on 8/4/42.
It appears Derek has never spoken much about his war years to anybody but now as he gets older he is thinking and wondering what happened to his old air crew and his mates a lamdorf .
THe guys he mentions particularly are D O Moran (navigator RCAF) (MA May wireless operator/ gunnerRAAF) and (DAW Diamond also wireless operator /gunner RAF) I have thier service numbers and POW numbers
any help would be apprehciated thanks
