I've just read the following quote from 'Birds In A Cage'' by Derek Niemann page 86.

For Conder , gloom was mixed with a grim sense of satisfaction. One of his hut companions had been threatened with disinheritance by his lieutenant colonel father for surrendering at St Valery. The same judgemental father was among those captured at Singapore.

For curiosity's sake does anyone know who this Father & Son were ?
Their names are not mentioned in the book .

If I knew I'd have posted them my old chum.
That is all there is to go on.
Thought I'd post it as sometimes members know the odd tidbit of info that can help out.

Shame this was not posted yesterday. I'm 99% sure I came across a POW questionnaire completed by Lt Col A.A. Johnson today. I would have copied it.:) I'll make a note to copy it on my next visit.

Thought I'd ask as sometimes on the off chance someone goes , 'oh I read about so&so the other day who's son so&so Jnr was a pow too' .
Stranger things have happened on here before.
