Portrait ~ Smudger Snr

Hi Guys,

I hope smudger Jnr does not mind me sharing this project with you, a quick 20 minute 'working' charcoal study of Smudger Snr with white highlights on grey paper.

I like the charcoal as it seems to have the 'feel' of the era, although as a completely freehand unmeasured sketch it may lose something in likeness that it makes up for in character.

Don't worry Smudger you will get a polished portrait these were just studies I shall send you the prepatory sketches with the finished piece
