Just a quick question - Would this have been issued by the War Office ? and when would a soldier have likely to have been given it.
It's a small booklet with practical advice on what to do in this country - It's in good condition, anyone else have it?, I have seen another at the IWM during a North Africa display.

Grandad marked up the map, so I can see where he went.

Can you scan and share here on the forum or at least the cover and any annotated map?

If its this one I'm sure its an official issue one, there are a fair range of Government issues ones covering a few countries but also a lot of unofficial ones produced locally for different countries and cities/towns

Yep, thanks, so when making notes would I cite it as War Office, or just HM Government?

I think many countries produced the like for their forces. I have seen American ones for GIs. I believe there was one for 'England'. I have a German one for Paris although it would require a very large pocket.
