Please use the Search Function.

    Can people please use the search function before starting a new thread.

    It can be a little clunky but it's not too bad and might help prevent the current wave of repeated subjects.
    It's often more interesting to have 'old' threads expanded and added to than to have gratuitous new threads that people have no answer for, as they've already said their piece elsewhere.

    I ought to add to this.
    You may have noticed there's the option to 'search tags' in many of the search areas.
    This is a direct link to the new tags function, once more threads have been tagged with appropriate markers it should become an effective way to follow particular themes, or personal tags, within the site.

    I believe that it depends on the subject with the then and now theme.

    An example being if you visit a place with WW2 history and take a present day photo and post an historical photo taken at the same location.

    You could try searching under "Then and now" and perhaps hit on several threads.

    If the Site engine lets you down, as it often will.
    Use this:
    Search WW2T with Google

    Just put your query in the search box in front of the text already there, with a space after your query.
    Uses normal Google search terms, so ", *, +, - etc. will all work.
