Hi Lesley Thanks for the reply, On one of the pages while he is with 335 Coy in France ( i think) it looks like it says admitted to hospital and relinquishes Rank, then the next day, i think, he is back in the UK. Is that right, if so would they have shipped him home due to illness, Dated on service record 7/9/1944 Also when he was with 290 Coy can you read where he is posted. What is section 40 A.A What does reclassified scale "D" Class 1A mean . These are the main points, but anything you might think is relevant, thanks Kim
