Hi, I am trying to track down my grandfather's movements during WW2 - he was a borehole inspector with the Dept. of Water Affairs and went off to war and basically did borehole drilling as well while in the desert (would that mean he fell under the Engineers?). He was a most amazing man but absolutely refused to talk about the war - he just simply said he saw so many terrible things while there and did not want to remember it again by talking about it. So I have absolutely no idea what, where or when - except that he was in Egypt and Greece. Can anyone out there help me please?
