Pheasant yesterday, Heron today! Except there's nothing in the pond, no fish, frogs or newts, as they've long ago been eaten by this chap! Wasting its time!
The bluebells are up in the garden, always a tonic. Have to leave the grass in the patches alone as best I can so I don’t decimate the little buggers.
This week I spotted a pileated female woodpecker. Since it is a female, I guess it is not Woody Woodpecker.
These two turned up on our back doorstep! The fox saw the badger off, it deciding retreat was the best option.
I live on a street called Fox Hill Terrace and have been there since 1977. It was not until about five years ago that I saw a fox in the area. Now they are fairly frequent visitors along with deer, coyotes, and wild turkeys. Here are some of the deer that have visited. They love the crabapple tree.
Surprisingly yes. After an initial surprise of the badger coming from behind, the fox turned on the badger, and the badger scuttled off.
