I'm pleased to report that the litter shown below in post 846 (2nd March), has probably been removed by members of the Friends of Alney Island group. I joined in January, but have yet to meet other members due to Covid distancing rules. I took a video on 2nd April and it's completely clean.
This morning at 0627 Fox reappeared, she was there in the night competing with Spike our resident hedgehog. She looks like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth but two nights ago she trashed the hedgehog feeding station. Fortunately he was on the lawn eating worms. He carries on regardless.
Angle Shades moth on our house this morning. Excellent camo if it was on a tree. Not so good on plastic cladding.
This is the Grey Goose i photographed. There is a man who works for Slimbridge, who walks the place I walk. He confirmed it. The two Geese were there again 3 hours ago in plain sight. This is the photo I took and it is also shown on the Glosterbirder website. They also confirmed it as well.
These two have been sharing food for the past few nights, and getting on quite well, although the smaller chap is a bit shy sometimes and hides its face! Whilst plainly not observing the two metre rule, at least there's no alcohol being served!
This fine chap appeared in our garden this afternoon, and has spent the rest of the day next to the bird feeders!
