Rounded front armor of the turret indicates a so-called (but incorrectly called) Porsche turret, of which only 50 were built ) The Soviets had received this report August 25th, 1944. Подгон от англичан and mentioned as place Northern France, from which I would conclude Normandy (Although the sprawling killig-fields there also completely overwhelm a detail fetishist like myself) The original report also says "brewed up". Well, I haven't the slightest idea if the Canadians were the first to get their hands on this tank. But if I had to guess, they would be the first to come to mind (all s.H.Pz.Abt.503): source: Abandoned "Porscheturm" Tiger II of Schwere Panzer Abteilung 503 in Normandy | The World War II Multimedia Database
The date of the report eliminates many of the possible wrecks. There are 2 burnt-out T II at Cagny and one at Plessis-Grimoult that would fit. The chassis number is wrong. It does not fit the date for the 12 TII issued to sPz Abt 503 in June/July 1944 as they should be in the 280023-035 area. The Plessis Grimoult TII was number 280031. Given only 500ish were built there would not be a 280637.
