Hi folks, Does anyone have any evidence of, pictures of or references to look at for the Phantom Patrols vehicles in use in North Africa and Italy. My research states Humber Light Recce Cars MkIII with the turrets removed, but I'm hoping for some pictorial evidence if possible, as it states they had a Bren with it, which I would assume would be in the turret. Thanks
Not specifically about Phantom but the Humber LRC MkIII was often used with the turret removed. A Bren gun was mounted in the front near side where officially a Boyes AT gun should be. Later in the war neither the turret nor the Boyes were of much use. Mike
