    Marco,
Do you think their are relatives or people he knew still in Guernsey?
I have lots of connections with locals there, because my town Biberach (we had deporties from Guernsey, Jersey and Herm in our POW camp) partners with Guernsey.

Hi Frank, no idea and with a surname like Miller it might be a difficult search? From the article on the website it looks like his memory is alive and well. Disturbing circumstance of death and story all together.

    CWGC details:

    Civilian MILLER, PERCY WILLIAM

    Died 16/07/1944
    Aged 61
    Civilian War Dead
St. George's Chapel In Westminster Abbey
Of the many civilians of the Commonwealth whose deaths were due to enemy action in the 1939-1945 War, the names of more than 67,000 are commemorated in the Civilian War Dead Roll of Honour, located near St. George's Chapel in Westminster Abbey, London.

Note his age is stated as 61 when, as pointed out in the first post, his gravestone suggests 81.

The age of 61 would be based on the translated death document stating he was born in 1883 (1st March, in Guernsey), I note that on Ancestry births and marriages in the Channel Islands dont appear to be covered and I am also surprised that there is nothing in the 1939 Register either - but then a lot surprises me these days o_O
