Very sad indeed , cowards out there instead of fight a man to man fight placing these IED's and detonated them from a safe place, like Irak all troops should move out and let them kill each other instead of "our"soldiers.

Hi guys, Just an update, i managed to get to RAF Lyneham to see the plane come in. I was refused at the gate as it was close family only which is fair enough...the helpful rock ape gave me directions to a spot where you were directly under the flight path and was only a few meters away from the runway so it was pretty much as good as being in the camp. I then went to Wootten Bassett and awaited the cars to come through. They came through at 14:45, it was very upsetting and a few tears were shed. After we went to the pub and i decided that for every pint i had i would have one for Paul aswell...it was on the Rifles tab so much Stella was drank ....i remained there for the rest of the day drinking until the time came for me to go home so i hitch-hiked back to Salisbury. Today i have been looking for photos of Wootten Bassett and RAF Lyneham and came across a great site called Getty Images, i had a look through some of the pictures (a couple had me in them) and was ready to give my card details when i read the amount and i turns out that this particular website supplies Newspapers with images and the price ran into thousands. I have now been trying to contact the newspapers because i was told that they have an image sale bit (have bought some before). I will wait out and see what happens with the pictures...... Anyway, there you have it! Donnie.
Just searched the Swindon Advertiser website. Found at least 6 photos for sale from them of Tuesday's repatriation . Photo Order: NQ (Ox&Wilts) This is Wiltshire
One of the new lads at work is ex-Rifles, he knew Paul. I see there is a Facebook group to remember Paul with 67 photos of him. "In Memory Of Paul Upton 1 Rifles Hero"
Thanks for posting that mate, is really sad to see it.........that is one of my most loved photos of Paul...he looks like something out of Platoon ...... Donnie
