I came across this photo in Brian L. Davis' book British Army Uniforms & Insignia of World War Two, on page 188.

It is two paratroopers standing next to a grave with a wooden cross which appears to have been daubed with white parachute wings, the service number, the rank 'Pte', unit 'RAMC' and the first two letter of his possible name 'HA'.

Does anybody have any ideas about this photo. My scan of this photo may be unclear.

I thought it might be Pte. Thomas Harvey's grave who was KIA 16th June 1944

Apologies just had a look on Paradata and it looks like it is Harvey's grave.

There is reference to his being killed in the 225th Parachute Field Ambulance War Diary.
