This has been requested recently however I am bringing it back to the top in a new thread. There are chances of correlating these headstones with investigations into Australian MIA's if these photos have certain information on the headstones. These investigations very rarely bear fruit however we must continue to try. There are six unidentified RAF airmen at Padua War Cemetery among the 32 "unidentified" headstones of the (513) Commonwealth burials however we do not have the exact locations within the cemetery. We are attempting to correlate the loss of Australian RAAF members to see if there is a possible connection between two of those six graves and the crew of RAF Boston, BZ 590 which crashed on 21 April 1945 with the loss of all four crew. If you can support this investigation or know somebody that can, we would be most appreciative. Cheers Geoff
Well Spidge, I think I sent you a batch of photos a couple of years ago. I'm still in Padua and can access the Commonwealth Cemetery easily. Post the list of six names you need checked out. Or, similar. You can send them to my personal email that I used to communicate with you for the previous photos. If you haven't that email address, then send it to the email connected to my WW2Talk account if you can see it (I'm never sure what shows up on these profiles). I'm not on WW2Talk much, but I will check over the next couple of days to see if you've replied to this post. Anyhow, I'm available for the most part to get over to the cemetery, but I'm having zero luck finding information on paper locally.
Hi, I too would like 4 photos fro this cemetery, you helped me a while ago but I lost your details when my old EMail address was compromised. I have sent you a PM Cheers Paul
