Hopefully this video will be of interest to those who have read about packsaddlery being used during the Second World War. It remains in the general manual for the Vickers machine gun right up until 1942 but we know it was used after that in the Far East and the Mediterranean. This is a set of Packsaddlery Artillery Ammunition but the hooks are the correct distance for the Vickers machine gun accessories. General Service packsaddlery, with some specific machine gun items, was supposed to used but this fills a gap in the collection and helps demonstrate the capability well.
