Osaka Castle- Dog Tags found

Hi Anna,

My GG was at Hiroshima No.7 Branch Camp! (Okinoyama POW Camp).

I’ve been in contact with the POW research team too! Taeko Sasamoto has been amazing, she lay some crosses we sent over on my GG’s grave at the Yokohama Cemetary. She has been helping me and she has also been in contact with Mr Eura who she knows and he was the one who would have allowed one of the tags to be given to us.
It was Mr Eura who took a photo of the tag and sent it into Taeko to send on, I’ve attached the picture. I will find Taeko’s email and send it to you incase you’ve not got it, she could contact Mr Eura again and hopefully get a pic for you.
If we could find some other family members of the other tags I’m sure we could try something! I’d kind of run out of ideas after they sent that last email. I was thinking the last resort would be to contact the press and see if they would be interested in the story although not sure if that would make that worse or better?! I would love to get one of my GG’s tags for my Nan. It’s nice to meet someone in the same position as me
