    Hi

I'm going to apply for my father-in-law's late fathers WWII service record.

    It says there's a £30 fee if you're not a direct ancestor.

Does that mean if I get my father in law to order it, it will cost nothing, or is there still a charge?

    Thanks

  2. If you are NOT the spouse or civil partner of the subject at the time of death (or parent if there was no spouse or civil partner), you must include an administration payment [Cheque for £30 (Sterling) per record requested] made payable to ‘The MOD Accounting Officer’.
