looking at my grandfathers service records, 73rd Anti Tank regiment RA
there is a column that give order number of part 2, 2e21, 2e21/108 and so on.

Can anyone tell me what they mean and will there be a log somewhere of all these orders?

Can you post a picture of it so it can be put into context?

on the left hand column, it says number of part 2 order
then in that column looks like an order number and then date?
is it a order, and if so are records kept anywhere.
the other photo is from his pay book. what does AFW stand for, I think it was when he was wounded.
    cheers for any help

From what I can gather, the numbers and part 2 orders etc etc in the left-hand column are just army references/codes and should be ignored; it is the other columns after that, which give important information.

It is the type of order. In a battalion or regiment, official decisions are posted each day on Part 2 Orders. Things like promotions, demotions, duties, CO's decisions. The date of the Part 2 Order is the official start point of anything published on it.
