Lots of maps and photographs in Die Luftlandung by Johann J. Nitrowski, but it's hard to get hold of a copy.

In March 2002 a friend and me did some "research" on and around some DZs used by British paras during Varsity. Most interesting was our visit to DZ-A. That was not only because of the terrible row we had with a German farmer, who claimed we were trespassing and scaring away the hares and the dear he wanted to have for dinner or in his fridge, I think.
We had our pictures, so it didn't matter.

The woodland features haven't changed in 64 years.

How correct you are! When you're there with veterans their memories of certain actions on certain places become very vivid.

On Monday March 29th 2010 a group including 6th AB veterans will visit Hamminkeln. They will get a reception at the townhall and will visit several DZs and Lzs, also there will be a short service at the memorial near the railway station.

Unfortunately for you the next day the men will leave for Britain. On Saturday 27th March there will be a commemoration service at Groesbeek Canadian Cemetery.
