I have a book, written more recently (and probably after they all had died) with most of the secret stuff and the German side of things. Not quite the same story.
Quite agree, "The Man Who Never Was" read the book too both excellent. Hollywood tends to ruin a good war story these days non more so than Pearl Harbour (Ben Affleck version) which after a promising trailer turned out to be a silly love story. Andy
It felt padded out; too many plot dead ends. "Major Martin" was almost peripheral to the story, and despite four experts (one of whom should stick to WW1) on matters military being credited there were heinous errors of uniform and military etiquette.
ha ha shows how clueless I am and easily pleased as I said at least I had a free coffee and a piece of cake
Did I mention I also received a free cappuccino and a piece of cake ( chocolate brownie and cherry cake shared half each)
