Operation Doomsday 10th May 1945

    Hi,

    Trying, but failing to identify all the aircraft used by No.620 Squadron on this their first lift. The Squadron ORB fails to record any aircraft details again 'B' Flight commitment.

    Any pointers,or help very much appreciated.

    Thanks for that, but I do have the ORB. You will note that the B flight aircraft serials are not recorded. It is these I am trying to establish. Also it mentions 23 aircraft but only 22 are recorded !

    Hoping the Airborne experts can advise on this one. No.620 Squadron is the only 38 Group Stirling Squadron not to record the serials against the crews who participated in Operation Doomsday. I have the Station and Group Records, plus a few Log Books. But I was wondering if the Airborne HQ keep any record of flight details. I.e. who flew from where, when etc. It is a long shot, I know.
