I am due to speak to John O'R next week on something else but over the weekend to exercise some people's grey matter what is anyone's opinion on the accuracy of the evacuation route through Oosterbeek in the map on page 275 of From Delhi to Arnhem?

And anyone got any thoughts as to the route for the western evacuation?

    Regards

If I remember correctly, because of its proximity to Westerbouwing, only about 50 people were evacuated through the Western evacuation route, most if not all Dorsets that had come across the previous night. The 20th Canadian Engineers didn't launch their storm boats and the 553 Field Coy RE only managed a few crossings in their assault boats.
