I have documented a recent build and thought you might like to see the whole process. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like, if this process gets to be a bore let me know and I'll jump right to the "finished" pics. I had this Italeri Opel Blitz 3ton type 'S' truck in the closet for about 25 years and finally decided to build it: http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8031&stc=1&d=1205677025 http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8032&stc=1&d=1205677025 http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8033&stc=1&d=1205677025 razorboy
Even though most of it won't be visible when the kit is completed, I felt like I still needed to thoroughly paint the chassis, engine and drivetrain components: http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8034&stc=1&d=1205680187 http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8035&stc=1&d=1205680511 http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8036&stc=1&d=1205680715 razorboy
Rough fitted the body together and started on the DunkelGrau base coat: http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8045&stc=1&d=1205711126 http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8046&stc=1&d=1205711126 Tried the sides in different configurations: http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8047&stc=1&d=1205711126 razorboy
First "Layer" of DunkelGelb: http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8056&stc=1&d=1205743716 http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8058&stc=1&d=1205743716 After the second coat of Dark Yellow: http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8059&stc=1&d=1205743716 razorboy
A bit more paint here and there. Stippling with a fine point Grummbacher using the dark grey base color. Decals applied at this time as well. http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8068&stc=1&d=1205891699 http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8069&stc=1&d=1205891699 http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8070&stc=1&d=1205891699 http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8071&stc=1&d=1205891699 razorboy
How've you applied the Dunkelgelb Rboy? Sprayed or brush? Almost looks like it's been dabbed on with a cottonbud? Or pigment powders? I like it, but can't work it out. Cheers, Adam.
RB looks just as well here as it did over at ACG. Really nice. HP Guten abend HP, Wie gehts? And thanks, rb

I used cheap(68 cents/ 2oz.) Wal-Mart "Plaid" brand acrylics, mixed the colors I needed and it's all 100% brush applied..... with my 30 year old Grummbacher brushes. rb
