    Yes, gallantry indeed.

    I hope that this doesn't come across as pedantic but it's hard for me to understand how a report can have a number of elementary errors. I could understand were it the Daily Mail, but this is the Army's own website and there should be a reasonable expectation of accuracy.

    WO2 Chhetri is not Royal Gurkha Rifles, as stated. He is wearing the uniform of the Gurkha Adjutant General's Corps.

    The medal was not awarded 70 years late, The award of the medal was notified in the London Gazette in September 1947.

    Whilst the MC and MBE were awarded for his gallantry, it is quite wrong of the army to state that Subedar Major Chettri 'was the recipient of no fewer than 11 medals for bravery'.
