Lost count of how many times I have been past this memorial, finally stopped and had lunch and took some photos. The memorial to the 7th Armoured Division in Thetford Forest. Cromwell tank is of "Litle Audrey1" . T189873.

The memorial's website: 7th Armoured Division Thetford Forest Memorial There is an article in this month's 'Classic Military Vehicle' on the chap who's firm restored the Cromwell; the appropriately named Adrian Barrell. This one is apparently an empty shell but he has another very rare Cromwell that actually went into Normandy on 7th June '44 slated for running restoration/recovery from it's current Charioteer setup. The guy also owns a challenger amongst other vehicles. Forgot to say that there is another open day on 24th June 2007, for anyone in the area.
