    Hello again! Been about a year since...
    Do you know of a link were I can "cross-reference" Operation Neptune landing serial number ("Army Number"?) and USN Hull numbers?
    In other words,
    Where did you find this info?;
    Craft or Ship Serial = Hull Number
    LCT(6) 123 = US LCT(6) 641
    LCT(6) 124 = US LCT(6) 640
    LCT(6) 125 = US LCT(6) 639
    LCT(6) 126 = US LCT(6) 657
    LCT(6) 127 = US LCT(6) 653
    LCT(6) 128 = US LCT(6) 652
    LCT(5) 51 = US LCT(5) 460
    APA 2 = APA 45 USS HENRICO
    APA 1 = APA 26 USS SAMUEL CHASE

    I had found it once... but, now lost in the weeds.
    Of particular interest:
    LCI(L) 540 Listed page 7 of 52; "301-3.20 Assignment Orders and landing tables...May 44"
    ...hoping to track down logbooks/manifests via USN hull numbers...
    Aso, regarding these Landing tables, columns "e" through "h";
    "Personnel": "marching" vs. "vehicles"... disembarking on foot vs. mounted on vehicles?
    Thank you,
    John

  4. Hi John,
    You'll find the links to the Final Ship Assignment Tables in the second paragraph of this post:
    OMAHA BEACH.

    Yes , "marching parties" are personnel landing on foot, and "vehicles parties" personnel in/on the vehicles listed.

    Is it bad that I pictured GIs and Tommies surfing ashore on overturned tables?

    Nah, I'll blame the Python for that shit. Never stops. I still want to know if those sheep learned to fly.

    Thank Buddha I didn't watch that much Benny Hill, lord knows what shape I'd be in now.
