Photos restored - I've a few more to add that I'll get too soon, I should also add information rather than just having photos

I've added a brief note below each - not a great deal I can add to them at the moment - I think I have another 9 to add when I get a chance

Thomas Andrew BRUIN EC6682 who initially served in the Lovat Scouts before being promoted in the Indian Army with the 7/10th Baluch Regiment. He was wounded 26/5/44. I was lucky enough to find his obituary on Ancestry (see attached) which gives a good bit of info on his service

Henry William Morgan POTTER of the 6th Middlesex, he was wounded 9/11/16 - I believe early in the Somme offensive he tool temporary command of 1st Battalion - late 1916 he was awarded the MC, citation "For conspicuous gallantry in action. He led the second wave of the attack with great courage and initiative under intense fire. Later, he established and maintained his position under very trying circumstances" I'm not sure which attack this relates to, if it was part of the Somme battle.

Cecil Adam SMELLIE of the Royal West Kents (medical records on findmypast mention 1st, 2nd and 3rd so no idea who he was with) - he arrived in France 18/9/16 but wasn't in action long as he was wounded 20/10/16 suffering a shrapnel wound to his arm and wrist which resulted in amputation of his left arm. He continued to serve as ADC to Major General Sir Herbert Mullaly in the Thames and Medway Garrison

The latest pickup - John Penry Garnons Worlledge, originally RE then RCOS - he served in France and Flanders as well as in Southern Russia - he was made OBE and twice Mentioned in Despatches - at Loos on 30/9/15 he was badly wounded when he was leading a part of Sappers forward for a work detail which unfortunately coincided with a German Counter Attack. He served in various duties between the wars and at the start of WW2 he was given command of the Radio Security Service a branch of M.I.8 responsible for monitoring illicit radio traffic from the UK from spies, his team had some success in code breaking (outdoing Bletchley by the look of it) and he managed to get into a bit of bother - the unit was then put under command of M.I.6 - he retired due to ill health in 1942.

His medals were sold a few years ago and the listing gives a more details write up of his service Lot 778, Orders, Decorations, Medals and Militaria (27 & 28 September 2016) | Dix Noonan Webb
