See "Hantsweb". I'm pleased to see the Hampshire County Council still maintains these collections. The Aviation collection has a fair number of books about airships. The Science Museum has two or three cases with models of airships but it is very hard to find a library or museum which contains anything on them. "Special collections Aviation Collection Contains over 5000 books, pamphlets, directories and yearbooks, news cuttings files, videos and a small collection of photographs and postcards. Many of the books are available for loan. Location: Farnborough Library Military Collection Contains over 18,000 items including Regimental and Divisional histories, extensive material on battles, campaigns and wars, biographies, genealogical sources, military theory, weapons, uniforms and medals. Many of the books are available for loan. Location: Aldershot Library Naval Collection Contains a substantial amount of material that reflects the strong links between Hampshire, particularly Gosport, and the Navy. Many of the books are available for loan. Location: Gosport Discovery Centre Railway Collection Contains around 11,000 books, pamphlets and timetables; many of which are unique. The majority of the stock is available for loan. Location: Winchester Discovery Centre Jane Austen Collection Contains material that covers the life and works of the author as well as linked to places and organisations.
