I visited the churchyard and whilst there decided to check the WW1 headstones.Searched and searched and called CWGC whilst I was there and realised the casualty has not been commemorated on the family grave .Mother and Father name on the grave but not the casualty.. RHV Chester name was supposed to be on the kerbstone.

Further to our recent correspondence, our Regional Manager has now advised me that his team have been onsite, and located the private memorial which commemorates RHV Chester. There is however no reference to the casualty on the kerb set, therefore it does not adequately commemorate the casualty. This being the case, matters are now in hand to obtain consent to erect a Gallipoli marker on the grave in order to commemorate him. Once authorisation is received the order process will proceed.
Thank you again, in closing, for bringing these matters to our attention.

Pretty sure his initial "S" is a mistake in Hobson.

Thank you for sending the photograph of the grave concerned, and I will now send it on directly to our Regional Manager for his information. I believe that Inspection visits to the war graves in the region, which is one of our larger regions, will be taking place over the coming year, so it may be a little while before we can advise your further, but I will of course write to you when ever I have further news to provide.
