I'm a compulsive tinkerer. What do I want a modern bike for ?
Whoops, almost forgot the original query. Nortons certainly claimed 1 in 4 and if the immediate pre-war contracts are taken into account then they made + - 100,000 machines so it is more-or-less true. Rich
